FANTASY

Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg by Gail Carson Levine. Reviewed by Tara Rochfort, age 10.

The book was about three brave fairies going on a big quest to save Pixie Hollow and everyone in it. I loved the book and disliked none of it.

Stardust by Neil Gaiman. Reviewed by Jennifer Jackson, age 14.

It was good. All characters typically had more to do with the story, giving unrealistic depth and it was very old in its refrences to fairies with very new things to make it interesting. Romance was predictable and it made some very interesting things to do to gain freedom and wasn't too detailed at all. It smelled like spaghetti.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling. Reviewed by Brianna Tavares, age 10.

This book is about a boy named Harry Potter. Harry wasn't an ordinary boy though. He was a wizard. This was his third year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. This year dementors guarded the school because a criminal called Sirius Black was on the run. Harry finds him and discovers he is his godfather. Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione help black escape. I liked this book because all Harry's friends work together as a team.

Possession by Lynne Ewing. Reviewed by Amanda Bosh, age 15.

In this book Serena gets possessed by an ancient spirit. She is having blackouts and losing chunks of time. She must find out how to get rid of the spirit before she is taken over by it.

The Choice by Lynne Ewing. Reviewed by Amanda Bosh, age 15.

This book of the series is a good one. Jimena has to go into the past to change the future. The Atrox itself appears in this book to attack the sisters. The Atrox has never done that before. Jimena finds out in the end why this happens.

Onion Girl by Charles DeLint. Reviewed by Jennifer Jackson, age 14.

Jilly. She has been a major or minor character in many of Charles DeLint's stories. The sporatic, friendly, loving artist. This is her story. It starts with how she is caught in a hit and run and paralyzed on half her side. No longer can she be the oh-so energetic Jilly. No longer can she draw. Now with her broken memory she is stuck in all the bad ones. On the bright side, she can now enter the dreamlands when she sleeps.

But a shadow from her past starts appearing in her life, wrecks her art and stalks her old living space. In other chapters you learn the life of Raylene and her story.
