2010 Woonsocket Harris Public Library Poetry Contest

To honor National Poetry Month in April, the Friends of the Woonsocket Harris Public Library are sponsoring the annual Poetry Contest. Poems may be submitted at the library from April 1-24. There is a limit of two submissions per person. Submissions will be accepted by email at efuqua@woonsocketlibrary.org, mail, fax at 767-4120, and in person. Entries for grades 6 & up and adults must be typed. Please include name, address, and phone number with all submissions. Students should also include their school, grade, and teacher’s name. For more information, please call Ed Fuqua at 767-4132. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded in all age categories (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, Adult). Everyone is invited to share their poetry at the Open Mic Poetry Night at the library on Wednesday, May 12 at 7-8:30 p.m.
