EDGAR ALLAN POE: Stories & Poems

October - November 2010

Edgar Allan Poe:  January 19, 1809 - October 7, 1849

Join us to commemorate the life and literary works of  Edgar Allan Poe during his bicentennial year!  Come take a look at our Poe displays throughout the Library, and take part in our nerve-wracking story-times with various daily readings...

"Poe is acknowledged as a major literary figure, a master of Gothic atmosphere and interior monologue.  His poems and stories have influenced the literary schools of Symbolism and Surrealism as well as the popular genres of detective and horror fiction."
